Run to the left, jump up the ledges, and drop down to get the Morph Ball.

Use the morph ball to go through the small space. Then go through 3 doors on the right. Go up in this room and through the first door on the right. Progress through 1 more door on the right. Then drop down and take the first door on the right. Run to the right until you find the Missiles.

Return to the previous room. Then go up and through the first door on the left. Continue through another door on the left. Keep going up and go through the first door on the left. Head through the missile door on the left. Shoot the Chozo orb to get the Long Beam.

Head through 2 doors on the right. Drop down and go through the first door on the right. Continuing going through doors on the right until you find an Energy Tank.

Continue through 1 more door on the right. Then go up and through the first door on the left. Go through the missile door on the left. Shoot the Chozo orb to get the Morph Ball Bomb.

Head through 2 doors on the right. Then drop down and go through the first door on the left. Continue through 5 doors on the left. Drop down and go through the first door on the right. Keep running right until you find an elevator and then take it down to Norfair. Drop down and go through the left door. Continue to the left until you find a Missile Expansion.

Go to the left and use the morph ball and bombs to get through the wall. Head through the door on the left. Then drop down and take the first door on the right. Progress to the right until you find another Missile Expansion.

Return to the previous room. Then go up and through the door on the right. Continue through 3 more doors on the right. Drop down and use a bomb on the bottom right corner of the floor to drop through. Continue downward and take the first door on the left. Proceed through the missile door on the left. Shoot the Chozo orb to get the Hi-Jump Boots.

Go through 2 doors on the right. Then go back up through the floor. Continue all the way up in this room. Then go to the platform in the top right corner and shoot through the ceiling to go up and through the door on the left. Go to the left to find a Missile Expansion.

Go left a little more to find another Missile Expansion.

Use bombs to go through the left wall. Go through the door on the left. Drop down and head through the first door on the right. Use bombs to go through the wall on the right. Then shoot the Chozo orb to find the Ice Beam.

Go through the missile door on the right. Then use bombs to go through the right wall. Head through the door on the right. Then go up and through the first door on the left. Proceed in this room to find a Missile Expansion.

Head to the left a little more for another Missile Expansion.

Further left will be a third Missile Expansion in this room.

Return to the previous room. Then drop down and take the 2nd door on the left. Proceed through the next door on the left. Take the elevator back up to Brinstar.

Head through 2 doors on the left. Go up and through the 2nd door on the right. Use a bomb to get through the wall, then enter the top tube. Go through 1 door on the right. Shoot through the ceiling in the middle of this room. Head up and through the first door on the left. Progress through the missile door and shoot the Chozo orb to get the Varia Suit.

Return through 2 doors on the right. Use bombs to drop through the floor. Then head through the door on the right. Progress through this room to find a Missile Expansion.

Go right. Shoot the blocks in the top right corner of the ceiling to get through the wall. Use the morph ball and bombs to get through another wall, leading to an Energy Tank.

Go left through 3 doors. Drop down and take the first door on the left. Head through another door on the left. Drop down again and take the first door on the left. Go to the left side of the wall that hangs from the ceiling. Shoot the ceiling to reveal an Energy Tank. Freeze a flying enemy and use it as a platform to reach it.

Head through the door on the left. Use bombs to drop through the floor and go through the first door on the right. Take the elevator down. Drop down and head through the missile door on the right. Progress through this room to find a Missile Expansion.

Return to the previous room. Go through 1 more door on the left. Use bombs to get through the left wall. Here you’ll find a Missile Expansion.

Return to the previous room. Drop down and take the first missile door on the right. Use bombs to get through the wall, where you’ll find an Energy Tank.

Go through 3 doors on the left. Then drop through the lava and head through the door on the right. Take 2 more doors on the right. Progress through this room to find a Missile Expansion.

Take 1 door on the left. Use bombs on the bottom left corner of the floor to drop down and take the door on the right. Continue through 1 more door on the right. Use bombs on the middle of the floor in this room to drop down. Take the missile door on the left to find Kraid.

Kraid can damage Samus by throwing claws or by shooting spikes from its stomach. To deal damage to Kraid, enter morph ball mode and use bombs.

After defeating Kraid, shoot the bottom portion of the right wall to reveal an Energy Tank.

Head through 3 doors on the right. Use the shootable blocks on the right to go up and through the first door on the left. Continue to the left to find a Missile Expansion.

Return to the previous room. Continue up and go through the next door on the left. Go through the missile door on the left. Go all the way up in this room and take the elevator up.

Take the door on the left. Then go up, shoot through the shootable blocks, and take the door in the top right corner of the room. Run through 1 more door on the right. Go up and through the first door on the right. Head through another door on the right. Drop down and take the first door on the right. Continue all the way to the right and take the elevator down.

Drop down and take the door on the right. Go through another door on the right. Drop down and go through the door in the bottom left corner of the room. Run all the way to the left and use bombs to get through the wall. Continue to the left to find a Missile Expansion.

Continue to the left to find another Missile Expansion.

Return through the door on the right. Use a bomb on the bottom right corner of the floor to drop through. Go through the first door on the left. Proceed through 1 more door on the left. Use bombs on the floor below the Chozo statue and continue to the left.

Proceed through 3 more doors on the left. Shoot the ceiling in the top right corner of this room to go up and through the first door on the left. Head through the missile door on the left. Shoot the Chozo orb to get the Screw Attack.

Return through 2 doors on the right. Use bombs on the bottom right corner of the floor to drop through. Use some more bombs on the floor just in front of the door on the right to drop through again. Take the door on the right. Proceed to the right and use bombs to go through the wall.

Head through 1 door on the right. This next room is filled with fake lava. Use a bomb on the floor next to the door to drop down. Take the next door on the left. Shoot the left wall to go through and find an Energy Tank.

Return to the previous room. Shoot the top right corner of the ceiling to go back up through the lava and take the door on the left. Use bombs to get through the left wall. Proceed through 3 doors on the left. In the pool of lava, use a bomb in the bottom left corner to fall through. Then take the door on the right.

Continue through 1 more door on the right. Place a bomb just in front of the door on the right in this room to fall through the floor. Take the door in the bottom right corner. Proceed through this room to find a Missile Expansion.

Go to the right a little more for another Missile Expansion.

Return to the previous room. Shoot the top right corner of the ceiling to go up and then take the door on the right. Run through 2 more doors on the right. Use bombs on the upper right wall to go through. Continue to the right until you find a Missile Expansion.

Backtrack through the wall and take the door on the left. Use a bomb on the floor just in front of the left door to fall through the lava and take the bottom door on the left. Go through the missile door on the left to find the Wave Beam.

Go through 2 doors on the right. Jump up through the lava and floor and take the door on the left. Continue through 3 more doors on the left. Go up this room and shoot the left part of the ceiling to continue upward. Then take the 2nd door on the right. Proceed through 4 more doors on the right. Shoot the wall on the right to go through, which leads you to a room with a Chozo statue.

Take 2 doors on the right. Then drop down and take the first door on the left. Continue through 1 more door on the left. Fall down and take the first door on the right. Then take the elevator down. Drop down from the elevator and take the door on the left. Continue through 1 more door on the left. Upon entering, shoot the ceiling above you. Then go up and through the door on the left. Progress to the left to find a Missile Expansion.

Return to the previous room and use bombs to go through the floor. Take the door on the left. After you enter, use a bomb on the floor just to the left of the lava. Proceed to the left through the hidden passage in the floor. Then take the missile door to find an Energy Tank. Fall through the floor just in front of the tank and take the door on the right. Head through 2 more doors on the right. Progress through this room to find a Missile Expansion.

Take the door on the left. Then drop all the way down and take the door on the left. Go through 1 more door on the left to find Ridley. To defeat Ridley, go into the lava and just keep shooting upward to hit him.

Take the missile door on the left. Then progress in this room to find an Energy Tank.

Go through 5 doors on the right. Then drop down and take the door on the left. Progress to the left in this room to find a Missile Expansion.

Return through the door on the right. Then go all the way up in this room and take the door on the left. Go through 1 more door on the left and take the elevator up.

Take the door on the left. Go up and take the first door on the right. Head through 1 more door on the right. Go up to the top right corner of the room. Shoot through the ceiling to go up even more. Then take the 2nd door on the left. Go through 1 more door on the left and then take the elevator up.

Go through 2 doors on the left. Then go up and take the first door on the right. Head through 3 doors on the right. Then use a bomb in the middle of the floor to fall through the lava below. Take the first door on the left. Take the missile door on the left. Shoot the Chozo orb to get the Ice Beam.

Head through 2 doors on the right. Go back up through the lava and take the door on the left. Continue through 5 more doors on the left. Go all the way up in this room and take the door on the left. Take the missile door on the left. Jump onto the upper platform and fire two shots to make the Kraid and Ridley statues appear.

Head through the door on the left and then take the elevator down. Continue downward, freezing the Metroids as you go, and take the missile door on the right. Progress through another missile door on the right. Go down in this room and take the missile door on the left. Continue through 1 more door on the left to enter the room with the final boss, Motherbrain.

Shoot the orange barriers with missiles to break them and progress to the left in this room. Once you find Motherbrain, shoot the glass case with a missile to break it. Then continue shooting missiles at the brain until it’s defeated.

After the battle, a timer will be set for Samus to escape. Go through the left door. Then go all the way up and take the elevator up to end the game.
