Chapter 3: Magmaul

Return back up to the Synergy Core. Destroy the yellow force field in this room. Follow the new path and scan the symbol above the door for the Alimbic Prophecy 05 entry.

Take the portal to enter the Transfer Lock. Scan the wall behind you for the Docking Bay L2 entry. Head into to the larger area of the room. Toward the back are Psycho Bit v2.0 enemies that need to be scanned. After defeating all the enemies, scan the bridge in the middle of the room for the Photon Stabilizer entry. Shoot all 6 of the switches around the room to release the orange force field. Then scan the Portal Controller to activate the portal. Scan the wall behind the portal for the Docking Bay L1 entry. Drop all the way down and scan the wall that's up the ramp for the Docking Bay L3 entry. Defeat the enemies on this level. Near the enemy spawner you'll find an UA Expansion. Jump back up to the top of the room and enter the portal.

Defeat the Guardian here and then grab the key, which unlocks an artifact. On both sides of the platform you'll find the Alimbic Order 02 and Alimbic Order 03 scans. Jump up to the top level of the platform to find the Final Wish scan. Go on the middle moving platform to reach an UA Expansion. Here you'll also find the scan for the Alimbic Order 01 scan. Jump onto the platform with the artifact and grab it. Here you'll find the scan for the Alimbic 04 entry.

Go all the way to the upper level and then jump on the rightmost moving platform. Head through the portal here to enter Incubation Vault 02. Defeat the pillar enemy, then scan the Electro Voldrum, which must be scanned now. After defeating the enemies, enter the portal on the right to enter Incubation Vault 01.

Get the Incubation Tank A scan that's in the middle of the room. While staying on the top level, destroy the Guardians that are on the lower level. Then head through the new opening to grab the key. After that, get the artifact. Go through the portal that's next to the incubation tank. Then head to the right and drop down to find the Shock Coil.

Enter the left portal to enter Incubation Vault 03. Grab the Missile Expansion that's in front of you. Then get the scan for the Incubation Tank B entry. After defeating the Guardians, destroy the Shock Coil force field. Then head through that portal to enter Tetra Vista.

Scan the wall on the right for the Shield Generator entry. In the middle of the room, near where the first enemy spawns, scan the right wall for the Gravity Stabilizer entry.

In New Arrival Registration, scan the Quadtroid on the ground, which must be scanned now. Destroy them with bombs and continue through the door. Scan the switch on the other side of the room. Take the platforms upward, and progress through the corridor to enter the room with the crystal. Here you'll find the scans for the Gorea 06, Gorea 07, Gorea 08, and Gorea 09 scans. Then take the key and grab the artifact. After the force field deactivates, scan the Greater Ithrak who drops from above, this is the only time to scan it. Leave this room and go through the corridor in the bottom right corner. Jump across the gap to get an Energy Tank. Take the platforms all the way up and head through the door to take the Stronghold Portal.

Progress to the next boss room. Scan the main body of the slench for the Slench 3A entry, which must be scanned now. Shoot the tentacles with the Battlehammer. When the slench is floating around the room, scan it for the Slench 3B entry, which must be scanned now also. This is also the time to deal damage to it. After defeating the Slench, grab the Octolith and then return all the way back to Samus' ship.

When you launch the ship head to Alinos. After landing, take the portal to the left of the ship. Head through the nearby doors. Fall into the hole in the floor and go through the yellow force field. Continue through the door and destroy the small force field in the right wall. Use the boost ball and bombs to progress through the magma and find an UA Expansion.

Use a bomb to go up and leave the room. Head through the nearby door. Go up through the hole and defeat Kanden. Destroy the purple force field and near the door you'll find the Thermal Regulator scan. Continue up the ramp to find the History 02 scan. Head to the nearby balcony and scan the switch. Jump on the moving platform to find the Alimbic History 06 scan across the room. Then head through the nearby door.

In the Alimbic Gardens, scan the Red Barbed War Wasp. Head into the next area to start a cutscene. Then scan the blue icons for the Gorea 01, Gorea 02, and Alimbic War 02 entries. Also scan the ground for the Alimbic Garden entry.

Use the moving platforms in the Thermal Vast room to enter the small space in the left wall. Then scan the Psycho Bit v3.0 that you encounter here. Enter the small space in the wall and head through the door.

Defeat the Guardians here and continue through the next door. Scan the wall in front of you for the Glyph Pattern entry, then scan the wall to the right for the Wall Scroll entry. Scan the Fire Spawn that you encounter in the next area, this is the only time to scan it. Also get the Council Chamber scan that's in this area. After defeating the Fire Spawn, get the Magmaul upgrade. Head through the orange force field just to the right to find an Energy Tank.

Go through the third force field from the right to encounter a Guardian and find the Alimbic War 03, Gorea 05, and Alimbic War 07 scans. Then scan the computer to deactivate the force field. Head to the jump pad to go up. At the top you'll find the scan for the Alimbic Pride 04 entry. Also scan the Magma Voldrum and Ice Voldrum that you encounter nearby. Then head back to the Alinos Perch.
