Chapter 4: X-Ray Visor

Return to the Hall of the Elders. Defeat all the chozo ghosts. Shoot the white bomb slot with the ice beam to use it. Then enter the statue's hand to find an Energy Tank.

Go to the Reflecting Pool again. Enter the room that has the Save Station. Head through the small space and take the elevator to Tallon Overworld East. Progress to Overgrown Cavern. Shoot the venom weed and go through the small space to get a Missile Expansion.

Continue to the Frigate Crash Site. Then head to the Landing Site and continue to the elevator to Magmoor Caverns East. In Magmoor, take the door on the left and continue to the Geothermal Core. Scan the Puddle Spore that you find in the lava here.

Proceed to Magmoor Workstation. Defeat the pirates here. Turn on the thermal visor and you'll find three switches on the lower level. Shoot them all with wave beams. Head through the small space that was just opened and scan the computer there. Go through the next small space and scan that computer. Head through the final small space to find an Energy Tank.

Go through the wave beam door and take the elevator to Phendrana Drifts South. Take the ice beam door and proceed to Frozen Pike. Then head through the purple door that's the 2nd from the bottom. Continue to Frost Cave. Scan the Glider that's flying around the room. Also scan the red hunter metroid here and defeat it with super missiles. Shoot the stalactites on the ceiling with missiles. The wave beam door on the right leads to a Save Station. Then go through the other door and proceed to Phendrana's Edge.

Defeat the pirates and then fall into the water. Scan one of the Jelzaps here. When they open their mouth, they can be destroyed with a charged ice beam. Take the bottom wave beam door.

In Hunter Cave, shoot the stalactites and then head through the lower right wave beam door. Proceed to the Gravity Chamber. Scan one of the aqua reapers in the first area of the room. Use the platforms in the middle of the room to go over to the second area. In a hole in the far wall you'll find the Gravity Suit (you can use the thermal visor if you can't find it).

Go through the upper wave beam door. In Hunter Cave, take the wave beam door on the right. Follow the path and take the elevator to Magmoor Caverns South. Continue along this path and take the elevator to Tallon Overworld West. Return to the Frigate Crash Site. Head into the water. In the left wall you'll find a Missile Expansion.

Head through the ice beam door to go into the crashed frigate and proceed to Main Ventilation Shaft Section B. Defeat the turrets here and use the thermal visor to shoot the switch with the wave beam. Scan the Tallon Crab in Main Ventilation Shaft Section A.

In the Reactor Core, scan one of the Aqua Pirates and destroy them with super missiles. There are 4 switches that need to be shot with wave beams. One is next to the big door, one is on the lower level near that door, one is on the lower level across the room, and one is in the bottom pit near the first two switches.

There are 2 more switches in Reactor Access that need to be shot. In Cargo Freight Lift to Deck Gamma, shoot the door of the wrecked elevator to find an Energy Tank.

There are 3 switches that need to be shot here. One is next to the wrecked elevator door, one is above the wrecked elevator, and one is next to the door at the top. Scan the Aqua Drone in Biohazard Containment, which must be scanned now. On this level is a Cordite wall that can be destroyed with a super missile for a Missile Expansion.

3 more switches need to be activated. One on the upper level in the middle machine as soon as you walk in the room, one is on the upper level near the elevator, and one more is on the lower level in the right wall. In Biotech Research Area 1, there are three switches. Two are near the door you entered, and one is on the lower level below the door you need to go through. Proceed to Connection Elevator to Deck Beta and scan the Aqua Sac here.

Enter the small space in Hydro Access Tunnel. In the middle vertical column, use 3 bomb jumps to reach an Energy Tank.

Scan one of the Seedlings in Great Tree Hall and then go through the ice beam door that's just above the water. Then take the elevator to Phazon Mines East.

Head to the Main Quarry. A Save Station can be found in the wave beam door. Then scan one of the mega turrets guarding the force field. Head to the top of the room, defeating any pirates along the way. Shoot the switch at the top of the room with the wave beam, then scan the computer to move the crane. Use the magnetic rail to get the Missile Expansion. Back near the force fields, scan two panels nearby to deactivate it and progress forward.

In the Mine Security Station, defeat the shadow pirates in the first area of the room. Then head up the ramp and scan one of the wave troopers here, they can only be damaged with the wave beam.

In Elite Research, defeat the pirates on the ground floor. Then scan one of the computers for a pirate data entry. Scan the computer just to the right to lower the platforms. Head up and defeat the wave troopers. Go around the corridor and scan the computer to lower the next set of platforms. Jump up and scan the power trooper. It can be destroyed with super missiles. Use the spinner to rotate the cannon and then scan the computer to fire the cannon. Destroy the left wall to find a Missile Expansion. Then destroy the wall across the room to go through the door.

In Ore Processing, use the bomb slot across the room to align the blue rail with the second level. Head up there and use the bomb slot here to align the red rail with the third level. Then drop down and use the bomb slot down here to align the red rail. Then take it all the way up to the third level. Head through the ice beam door and continue to Elite Control Access. Shoot the explosive box near the air vent to reveal a Missile Expansion.

Proceed to Elite Control. Scan the elite pirate here, which must be scanned now. It can be destroyed with 2 super missiles. Then scan one of the ice troopers toward the top of the room. There are 8 pirate data entries to scan in this room. 3 are on the ground level where the elite pirate was and the other 5 are near the force field toward the top of the room. Then scan one of the computers to lower the force field and head through the door.

Continue to Omega Research. Defeat the pirates here. Drop down to the ground level and scan the pirate data entry here. Then head through the ice beam door in the floor.

Proceed to the Central Dynamo. Here you'll need to defeat the invisible drone. You need to hit it manually with charged beam attacks. After defeating it, go through the small space maze in the floor to find the Power Bomb (you'll need to place bombs in a couple puddles).

Return to the Ventilation Shaft (if you find a Power Bomb Ammo in a box, scan it). Use a power bomb to break the gate in the floor. Head through the small space and scan the panel to turn on the ventilator and reveal an Energy Tank.

Continue back to Ore Processing. Jump on the platform to the right and destroy the rubble with a power bomb and use the bomb slot to align the yellow rail with the top level. Then do the same thing with the bomb slots on the bottom 2 levels. Then take the yellow rail all the way up and enter the ice beam door to find the Grapple Beam.

Head back out and scan one of the grapple points.

Use the grapple point to cross the room and head through the other ice beam door. Return back to the Main Quarry and head into Security Access A. Use a power bomb on the left wall and head through to find a Missile Expansion.

Take the nearby elevator to Tallon Overworld South. In the Great Tree Hall, go up the platforms until you find a spinner. Use it to continue upward. In the area with the bloodflowers, head up the spiral magnetic rail and through the ice beam door at the top. Use a power bomb to find a small space. Use the speed boost to go on top of the structure. Then use a bomb to drop through the middle and find a Missile Expansion.

In the Life Grove, drop down to find the X-Ray Visor.
